Week 6

Week 5 Highlights

v   I am so proud of everyone for completing the aquathlon last week with huge smiles.  The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves.  Check out the photos.

v   Our technology challenge on Friday was lots of fun and great learning.  We are learning to work and think interdependently.  Relating to Others is the Key Competency we are focussing on and the discussions we had after the creating time were meaningful.

Week 6

v   We are lucky to have Mrs Morgan, a Candidate Teacher from EIT, in our class each morning for the rest of the term.  She is excited to learn about our approach to maths.

v   This Wednesday we have a local artist, Raewyn Harris, visiting us to work with Room 3.  There will be a small contribution to make towards her fees and a separate note will be coming out this week.  Check out the blog for samples of her work.

v   Te Reo Maori lessons start this week with Whaea Jaci.

v We are taking part in the Warehouse Stationery Writing project.  We have received our package and will do the writing activities then package it all up and exchange with another class on 24 March. : Check it out

Get New Zealand Writing

Warehouse Stationery is on a mission "Get New Zealand Writing".
We all know how important writing is to student achievement, so until the end of April Warehouse Stationery will be running a national initiative in collaboration with NZ primary schools, students and parents to get our kiwis writing.
What’s it all about?

  • For the month of April Warehouse Stationery will be providing free post cards in all of our stores.
  • You can come in in store to write a postcard and post it for free to loved ones via our Post Boxes in store.
  • We not only want to have the children of New Zealand share hand writing messages to their loved ones around the country, but also continue to remind them how important hand writing is.

So come in store and take part in Get New Zealand writing over these school holidays!
Also don’t forget to pop onto our Facebook page, and get involved in the Warehouse Stationery community!
Check out all of the amazing writing products we have on offer to celebrate Getting New Zealand Writing
