Week 5 Highlightsv I am so proud of everyone for completing the aquathlon last week with huge smiles. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Check out the photos.v Our technology challenge on Friday was lots of fun and great learning. We are learning to work and think interdependently. Relating to Others is the Key Competency we are focussing on and the discussions we had after the creating time were meaningful. Week 6
v We are lucky
to have Mrs Morgan, a Candidate Teacher from EIT, in our class each morning
for the rest of the term. She is excited
to learn about our approach to maths.
v This
Wednesday we have a local artist, Raewyn Harris, visiting us to work with
Room 3. There will be a small
contribution to make towards her fees and a separate note will be coming out
this week. Check out the blog for
samples of her work.
v Te Reo Maori
lessons start this week with Whaea Jaci.
v We are taking part in the Warehouse Stationery Writing project. We have received our package and will do the writing activities then package it all up and exchange with another class on 24 March. : Check it outGet New Zealand Writing
Warehouse Stationery is on a mission "Get New Zealand Writing".
We all know how important writing is to student achievement, so until the end of April Warehouse Stationery will be running a national initiative in collaboration with NZ primary schools, students and parents to get our kiwis writing.
